What is your reason for writing this book?

Generally speaking, in life one should do things with a purpose in mind.  A task shouldn't be taken on for naught.  When it comes to writing a book, much thought needs to be put into every page.  Every word written to form a sentence, every sentence formed to create a paragraph, and every paragraph connected to the next one should culminate into a meaningful, well-planned, and unique creation of an innately talented mind; your own, personal masterpiece!

I mean, why would you do something as arduous as write a book just for the sake of doing it?  As the saying goes, "I'm not just doing this for my health."  Neither should you.  Don't waste your time or the readers'.  Before you pick up that pen you should be able to precisely answer the following questions:  What inspired you to want to write this book?  Who would you like to benefit from this work?  If you can't answer those questions, (unless you're a writer for hire) please do the world a favor and don't have that book published.
